WOYWW 111 - The Aftermath

Seriously, I hate deadlines. For most people deadlines make them concentrate, buckle down and give their all. Me? Its brings out the queen of procrastination in me - "I'll get on with that important task... just let me sit down n have a cup of tea & a biscuit first..." So two weeks ago, it was panic stations cos I was behind in the wedding preparations and I hadn't ordered 'this' and 'that' was floating somewhere in royal-mail world... and now? I think bereft is a good word! I've got nothing to do! No motivation! July & August are quiet months by our family standards - altho the wondrous Lisa Sparkle has a bday coming up... I can tell you that, right? - and I'm bursting with ideas but I've got no oompf it seems! Hence the bomb site of my desk and the debris of half finished projects:

Oh well, stop whining n pull ur finger out, girl. Mr Mojo can't be far away and he always comes home in the end!

Happy WOYWW everyone, n no I haven't eaten all those sweets yet!

  1. My Mojo is a girl and quite sneaky and stubborne! She slips out when I least expect it and actually stops at the door to be sure I see her go! Usually while she vacations I make flowers!

  3. Oh boy, am I the queen of procrastination too - it's amazing what I can find to do, if the job that HAS to be done fills me with dread!! Even washing the kitchen floor - now that is desperation...! x

  5. I think that mojo goes on holiday like everyone else in the summer! LOL! I know what you mean! The procrastinator in me is always finding something to do besides crafting (or dishes...or laundry...) -Amanda #45

  7. Aw..your mojo's deflated after all that improtant panic driven work!! Your desk looks pretty good from here. If you seriously intend to tidy...it may work and re-inspire you. I should sit with a cuppa and go through some craft mags first though!!

  8. I procrastinate too so I sympathise! To get your Mojo back, spend a few hours making that desk all spik and span.... and then pull your stuff out again and mess it up! Works every time!

  9. I dont have dead lines ...except forgotten family cards that I should have made head of time but I cant do classes as there is a time pressure and I'm always behind everyone ...I dont even really enjoy crops, except for chatting, as my mojo just evaperates ...so i am glad I dont have to work to a dead line. Hope your Mojo comes back soon ...probably just went off for a rest lol

  10. I'm a procrastinator too! I have an excuse though. The Protestant Work Ethic says, "Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today." The M.E. sufferers' motto rephrases this as, "Never do today what you can put off till tomorrow"!!! Lol lol. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. For weeks and weeks. Oh well. (Love your bombsite. Made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Looks like my ARTHaven most of the time!!!)
